02 · The Welcome Experience

You were expected.

Thoughtful welcome moments that help people feel at home, and help families feel they chose well.

Why it matters

The first week sets the tone.

Moving into a care community means leaving a home, routines and often neighbors behind. A few thoughtful gestures in the first days tell someone they are a person here, not a room number.

What's included

A welcome, in four gestures.

Each element can be adapted to your community's own welcome routine.

  1. 01

    The welcome pack

A beautifully made pack with comfort items, a personal handwritten note and a first magazine chosen for them.

  2. 02

    "Getting to know you"

A simple card (filled in with the resident or family) so staff can connect over favorite music, teams, foods and places from day one.

  3. 03

    A first-week visit

A friendly visit to say hello, deliver the next magazine and invite them to the reading circle.

  4. 04

    A sponsor's name, tastefully

When a local partner funds the pack, a small card says so. Never advertising, never a sales pitch.

Good to know

Designed around your team

We coordinate with your admissions or activities staff, so welcomes arrive at a sensible time and never add to move-in day pressure.

Is there a cost to the community?

Not when a sponsor funds the packs. Communities can also order directly; ask us for current pricing.

Can families take part?

Yes. Families can help fill in the "getting to know you" card and add their own note.

Do you need personal information?

Only a first name and the move-in week, shared by your team. We never ask for health details.

Make the first day feel different.
